# How do i download Optifine?

Ensure that the desired Minecraft version is already installed before attempting to install OptiFine.

1. Head to <https://optifine.net/downloads> and choose a minecraft version you need.

2. Download and run the installer.
3. To begin the installation of OptiFine, click the "Install" button to start the process.

4. Once the installation is complete, open the Minecraft Launcher. You should see a new Optifine profile available.
